Winery welcome

Owned and run by Antonio Costantini, the azienda covers 60 hectares (150 acres) in the province of Pescara. Most of the very sizable wine production is in Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and, like many other producers, he makes a wide range of wine at various price points, from bulk to cru (single-vineyard) wines.

The best grapes make the Costantini brand bottlings, and we chose the two top ones for import. Costantini is the cavallo di battiglia (workhorse), Tornese is the bigger, more ambitious effort. Both display real Montepulciano typicity: racy acidity, moderate tannins and sunny fruit. And both offer an excellent price/quality ratio.
