Summary: Tintore grape was traditionally used as blending grape to add color to light local reds. This wine uses 100% Tintore to produce a big, structured red. Deep red color, dark red fruit. Earthy, truffle notes at finish. Fine ageing potential. Worth adding to your cellar

Altitude: 500 metres/1600 feet above sea level

Soil: Mixture of clay and volcanic soils

Vineyard Management & Training: Traditional Tramonti arbor. Vines average 80-90 years old, some are centenarians

Vinification: Fermented and kept for 15 months divided between barriques and medium-sized French oak - first passage. Ten months in bottle before release

Smells & Tastes: Clear, deep purple color. Earthy notes harmonize with dark red fruit aromas and flavor. Fine balance of acidity and lushness. Excellent accompaniment to big, meaty dishes. Open several hours before serving
