Exposure: South-facing slope

Altitude: 220 metres/680 feet above sea level

Soil: Alluvial soil. Compact red sedimentary over limestone

Vineyard Management & Training: Pergola Veronese. Average age of vines: 20 years / Yield: 65 hl/hectare

Vinification: Hand harvested. Fermentation and maceration at controlled temperatures for around 12 days in steel vats / Periodic pumping over of the must and délestages during the first phase of fermentation, and manual punching down of the cap towards the end of the process. / In steel tanks: 6 months / In bottle: 6 months

Smells & Tastes: Pepper and blackberry, some herbal/spicy notes. Fresh mouthfeel enhanced by minerality. Rather long finish
