Vineyard Management & Training: Old vines (45 years) trained with traditional Avellinese pergola method. Yield: 40 quintales per hectare

Vinification: Hand-harvested and -selected grapes for this top-level wine. Traditional destemming, maceration for 15 days, hand pressing, natural-cold stabilizing, no fining or filtering. Fermentation takes place in open casks and steel with native yeasts. Spends 18 months in new French oak, 18 more in bottle.

Smells & Tastes: Very complex set of aromas and flavors. This is a powerful, long-lived wine that provides even more intense perfumes and flavors of cloves, black pepper, earth and black cherries.
