Terra di Vento is a 60 hectare / 150 acre farm in the foothills of the Picentini mountains southeast of Salerno. Within sight of the Bay of Naples, the 4 hectares / 10 acres of vines benefit from a sunny exposition, sea breezes and a high enough elevation to escape the worst effects of the coast's high humidity. The grapes ripen beautifully; the wines show all the sensuous qualities of coastal Aglianico and Fiano, and more.

Roberto Nicodemo and enologo Fortunato Sebastiano have taken the winery firmly into the natural camp. In April 2011 Terra di Vento became officially organic. Preserving this remarkably unspoiled terrain is a high priority for Nicodemo and his wife, Marialuisa Zottola, whose family has owned the farm for generations. This is why Terra di Vento will never become simply a wine estate; in fact, Roberto has recently transformed it into a stunning agriturismo-cum-art center and more.
