Summary: Light, refreshing, unoaked Barbera of the traditional kind.  Versatile with regard to food pairings.

Altitude: 380 metres/1180 feet above sea level

Soil: Gray-blue clayey marl

Vineyard Management & Training: Guyot

Vinification: The skin is left on the grapes for 5-6 days. Stored in steel barrels for one year to preserve the aromatic freshness of the fruit. Bottled after 12 months, it matures in the bottle for several months and can be kept for several years

Smells & Tastes: The color is light ruby red. The nose has raspberry and strawberry notes. Good acidity (5.4 grams/litre).  Very mild tannins. Excellent served with meat, mild mature cheese and oilier fish like salmon.
