Name of Wine: Pario 2007 Producer: L'Arco Summary: Complex, powerful red of considerable intensity and focus. Made of classic Valpolicella grapes, it reveals its similarities and differences to RĂ¹beo in its slight, comparative lightness and livelier acidity. Alcohol: 15% Location/appellation: Valpolicella, IGT - from Santa Maria di Negrar and Quar vineyards Grape varieties: 50% Corvina, 35% Rondinella, 15% Molinara and Croatina Exposure: East at both vineyards Altitude: 170-190 metres/ 560-600 feet above sea level Soil: Mixed fluvial and moraine soils (post-glaciation) Vineyard Management & Training: Guyot at Parona, Pergola veronese at Santa Maria Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel. Racked frequently. Aged in Slavonian oak botti and barriques for 36 months Smells & Tastes: Grippy, potent, very long finish. A refreshing, racy wine despite its passito-level alcohol. |
